Space loses virginity!

12th JUL 2021

Hello Everyone!

Today our space has lost its virginity. Virgin Galactic - the space travel company of Richard Branson took passengers, including Branson, into space and returned safely. This is the first time someone traveled in their own spaceship. It is the result of a dream seen by Branson, followed by the efforts of 100s of engineers for the last 17 years. Another dreamer Jeff Bezos is also about to create a similar history through his Blue Origin.

Be it his balloon rides or today's space travel, Branson has always been a risk-taker, not only in his business but also in his personal life. In his autobiography "Losing My Virginity" he says - (in 1993) "Times had changed when we had £500 million in the bank. But I didn't believe in leaving it there. At this point I could of course have retired and concentrated on learning how to paint watercolours or how to beat my mum at golf. It wasn't and still isn't, in my nature to do so. People asked me, 'Why don't you have some fun now?' but they were missing the point. As far as I was concerned, this was fun. Fun was at the core of the way I like to do business and it has been key to everything I've done from the outset."

Like Mahatma Gandhi said, "My life is my message", Branson too in many ways has been inspiring others with his life. Hope this moment ignites fire in the belly of entrepreneurs taking them to new heights.

Thank you!
